We are currently recruiting for an experienced Pipefitter to join a busy engineering team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working on mild steel pipework within industrial or heavy engineering environments.

You’ll be involved in the fabrication, fitting and installation of external pipework systems, preparing and assembling pipe sections before welding as part of a skilled team.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate and fit mild steel pipework to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work on external pipe systems carrying gas and mains services.
• Prepare, measure, cut and assemble pipework.
• Fit and position shoes, bends, spigots and welded fittings.
• Tack up fabricated pipework ready for final welding.
• Work closely with coded welders where required to complete assemblies.
• Use fabrication techniques and hand tools to ensure accurate pipe fit-up.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and comply with all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Pipefitter within an industrial, engineering or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working with mild steel pipework.
• Confident fabricating and preparing pipework for welding.
• Skilled in using fabrication equipment and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
