Mechanical Fitter, Temp to perm, £21 per hour, paisley, competitive salary + overtime opportunities

Requirements:

• Time-served Mechanical Fitter qualification or equivalent experience
• Proven experience working in food and drink processing plants
• Strong background in assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of complex rotating machinery
• Demonstrable experience with pumps and gearboxes
• Conveyor maintenance experience

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, gearboxes, and associated mechanical equipment
• Undertake both planned and emergency maintenance across multiple customer sites
• Overhaul and maintain various types of plant and machinery
• Mark out, cut, drill, and mill mild steel and non-ferrous metals
• Carry out fitting duties including drilling, tapping, reaming, and related processes
• Assemble and fit finished products to specification
• Test and inspect equipment to verify conformity and performance
